

Step 24
I used Curves to darken the scene:

On its layer mask use a soft black brush to erase the area between the rocks (light will be added there):

Step 25
Add another fill layer with the color #141921 and lower the opacity to 40%:

On its layer mask use a soft black to reduce this fill layer effect on the area between the rocks:

Step 26
Make a Gradient Map adjustment layer on the top:

Change this layer mode to Soft Light 100%:

Step 27
Create a Color Balance adjustment layer:


Step 28
Use a Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer to refine the contrast and light of the scene:

On this layer mask use a soft black brush to erase the ground:

Step 29
We’ll add more light to the space between the rocks to increase the mysterious atmosphere for the scene. Make a new layer and use a soft black brush with the color #b6d6cc to paint on the lower space between the rocks and change the mode to Overlay 100%:
