In this Photoshop tutorial, you’l’l learn how to dilate the pupils for better portraits. There are a lot of ways to retouch portraits. Enlarging the pupils is just one of them. But sometimes the smallest part of your photo will have the biggest impact.

Does it look more appealing to you or is it not really that big of a deal. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment.

Thank You for this amazing lesson. I gotta say, I’m not a fan of the dialated pupil. It takes away from the color in her eyes which in my opinion give her some depth. But that’s just my opinion. I can see it’s application did a google search of some magazine covers and such and I did immediatly notice it. I don’t know, jury is still out for me – LOL. But again, I LOVE having the option and I can visualize instances where this would be really beneficial.

Her original eyes are much better. It’s unreal after being dilated.

Personally I like the portrait better without the eyes dilated. Her eyes are such a beautiful color and they are so captivating before the dilation, and I feel it covers too much of the color in her eyes

The more I look at it the more I like it. Weird, it’s something I never thought much about, but it is better.
