Step 26
Activate the Transform tool (Ctrl/Cmd + T) and then right click on the canvas and then click on Flip Horizontal.
The result:
![image075[5] image075[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0755.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
Next, activate the Transform tool (Ctrl/Cmd + T) once again and then resize the “woman” as shown on the image below:
![image076[5] image076[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0765.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
Step 27
Now, let’s adjust the “woman’s” brightness/contrast, so go to Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast and input the following:
- Brightness: -67
- Contrast: -35
- Use Legacy: Uncheck
![image077[5] image077[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0775.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
The result:
![image078[5] image078[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0785.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
We’ll now reduce the saturation of the “woman” to make her blend well with the rest of the images. To start, go to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation and then input the following:
- Edit: Master
- Hue: 0
- Saturation: -40
- Lightness: 0
![image079[5] image079[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0795.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
The result of that should be similar to this:
![image080[5] image080[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0805.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
Step 28
Next, we’ll need to lighten some parts of the “woman”. To do that, activate the Dodge tool (O).
![image081[5] image081[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0815.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
Once activated, input the following settings for it:
- Brush size: 40px
- Hardnesss: 0%
- Range: Midtones
- Exposure: 25%
Now, let’s zoom in to the “woman” by pressing Ctrl/Cmd + Z and left-clicking on the image. Once you have a good zoom level for the “woman”, start Dodging.
![image082[5] image082[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0825.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
The result of that should be like this:
![image083[5] image083[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0835.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
Now, select all the layers that we’ve created on this step and group them (Ctrl/Cmd + G). Name this group to “woman”.
Step 29 – Add the textures
Now we will be adding the textures to give the image a dark and brooding feel to enhance the viewer’s feelings towards the image. To start, open the texture “Grunge texture 4” by darkrose42-stock. Once open, activate the Move tool (V) and drag it to our canvas.
Position it as shown below:
![image084[5] image084[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0845.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
Now, activate the Transform tool (Ctrl/Cmd + T) and resize it as shown below:
![image085[5] image085[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0855.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
The result:

Step 30
Next, let’s adjust the Blending mode and Opacity of this texture.
- Blending mode: Multiply
- Opacity: 100%
Note: Click on the drop-down button beside the “Normal” on the layer window and then click on “Multiply”.
![image087[5] image087[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0875.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
The result:
![image088[5] image088[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0885.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
Next, open the texture “Texture 119” by Sirius-sdz. Once open, activate the Move tool (V) and drag it to our canvas.
![image089[5] image089[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0895.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
Resize it then to the size shown below:
![image090[5] image090[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0905.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
Step 31
After that, change the Blending mode and Opacity to the following:
- Blending mode: Soft Light
- Opacity: 100%
![image091[5] image091[5]](https://cdn.photoshoptutorials.ws/images/stories/68c3a34a5b97_E909/image0915.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&webp=82&avif=82&w=1920&ssl=1)
Step 32
Next, open the texture “Old paper 33 stock” by ofruin-stock. Once open, activate the Move tool (V) and drag this to our canvas.
