Step 10

Use another Curvesadjustment layer to bring more light to the front of the arch and rock. On this layer mask, use a soft black brush to erase the shadow, hidden areas or any details you feel too bright.

Step 11

Create a new layer, change the mode to Overlay 100%and fill with 50%gray.

Activate the Dodgeand Burn Tool (O)with Midtones Range, Exposureabout 10-15%to refine the light and shadow of the arch and rock. You can see how I did it with Normalmode and the result with Overlaymode.

Step 12

Cut out the man’s body from the background and then place him onto the middle of the arch surface. Use Ctrl+Tto resize him to be much smaller.

Step 13

Make a Color Balanceadjustment layer to match the man’s color with the arch. Adjust the Cyanand Yellowvalues to give him some blue hint to match the arch’s color.

Step 14

Create a Curvesadjustment layer to brighten the man. On the layer mask, use a soft black brush to erase the light on the back/shadow/hidden areas of the man.

Step 15

Open the lamp image and take the lamp on the right to add to the head of the man. Place this layer below the man’s one.

Step 16

Make a Curvesadjustment layer to brighten the lamp more.

Step 17

Isolate the tree from the background and place it on the right of the man.

Go to Edit > Puppet Warpand use the pins to move the branch above the man’s to the higher position.

Step 18

Make a new layer below the tree one and use a soft brush with the color #020a12, the opacity about30%to paint a shadow for the tree on the arch’s surface as we aim to add glowing light for the lamp’s head so the shadow should be lie on the arch’s surface.

Step 19

Create a new Hue/Saturationadjustment layer to desaturate the tree.

Step 20

Add a Color Balanceadjustment layer to alter the tree’s color a little.

Step 21

Create a Curvesadjustment layer to bring more light to the tree. On this layer mask, paint on the right of the branches where are hidden from the light or any details you feel too bright.

Step 22

Make a new layer, change the mode to Overlay 100% and fill with 50% gray. Use theDodgeand Burn Tool to enhance the light and shadow on the tree.
